accumulations mainly to the northwest, and northwest of the d.c. metro area is what we're talking about. there are sunny days ahead in my five-day forecast and also temperatures are not going to be too far from seasonal, either. so let's begin with a look here and we'll show you exactly what is going on. and where things are. our highs today are a big factor temperature wise, because temperatures are -- are warm at the surface, and so, that's what's going to help us a lot in terms of the snow situation. 46 today at national, 44 dulles, 44 at b.w.i. these temperatures anywhere from right on the mark to just two degrees or so warmer than they should be. we're not dealing with a whole lot in terms of the temperatures being a factor. right now at gaithersburg, 36 at dulles. 32 at frederick, 40 at d.c. and 35 degrees right now, at baltimore. so, as we look at all the moisture, there's a whole steam coming from the south, you have the system coming from the west, the combination of a couple things going on here that will really affect us. and right now,

a high wind watch farther northwest. the bottom line is, wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour in that region. this time tomorrow i bet we will be looking at a high around 72 or 73 degrees. maybe a bit higher. temperatures will drop. at the moment they are delightful. 61 degrees right now in washington. colder air north and west. a push of even warmer temperatures for a portion of the day tomorrow. by noon or 1:00 we could be in the 70's. temperatures would trail off behind that. it is the wind that will be the big story tomorrow and places gusting 60 miles per hour. saturday is one chilly air will move in. it is very dry. a lot this time of year he have some violent outbreaks in our latitudes it will not happen. we will still get cooler air coming in after a warm one tomorrow. very little in the way of rain. only a slight chance of a shower or sprinkle late tonight or tomorrow. the front will come through dry but it will come in with high winds. partly sunny and warm becoming when the throughout the day. at least to 72.

these winds are coming across the northwest.it of a northerly component out of washington county. typically, the northwest winds are going to tap into some very cold air. not the case because everyone in our region is pretty much in the same zone. we are all above average for the most part. and high pressure is going to ease off. it's going to allow for cloud cover to start moving in ahead of our next weather maker. what we're watching, several different things here. several different dynamics. first off, there is a low- pressure system starting to move across oklahoma now. starting to lift up into indiana and across the great lakes. it's going to drag with it a cold front that is going to start to pull in some moist air out ahead of it. the warmer air stays with it. so we don't drop in temperatures, even though we have in theory a cold front moving through the region over the next few days. we also have a system out in the west right now, down around southern california that is going to be moving in by the end of the weekend. w
