we're getting a little bit of a development up north-northwest of baltimore. here in the metro area, i have not seen much staying together. there is a little salvage going up in montgomery county right now, we'll watch that to see if that continues. still looks like we're going to have some scattered showers and thunderstorms even here in the metro area and right now, that is not happening. new warning for us. it's way down to the south- southwest and this is south of fort royal and coming into page and rappahannock county. that is a severe thunderstorm warning going until 6:00 just to show you what is going on to the north and west. earlier, this is where we had some severe thunderstorm warnings. everything has expired and everything has been cancelled. we're doing better now. look at the motion to the east and northeast at 20 to 25 miles per hour. that is where most of it has been. and we can pull this back out. again, nothing here in the district. you see the shower there? right to the west of 270 in montgomery county? i'll watch that and see if that is goi

we have one cell over southwest baltimore. northwest aa county. approaching the elkridge area. just west of the airport actually. and another over severna park. that's moving off to the northeast. this is heading right to the southwest of baltimore. so if you were in that region, over the next 10 to 15 minutes. look for some heavy downpours, lightning. and really a brief, gusty wind at 25 to 30 miles an hour. it's moving right for the southwest portion of the city. and that will cool things out for you folks. otherwise, at the airport, they did drop a little bit from 87 to 84. now, the dew point is pretty high at 70. south/southwest winds at 17 there. the barometer, right now holding steady. 29.89 inches. around the area, where we've had clouds and rain. temperatures in the low 80s. otherwise, really warmed up. 92 in cumberland. 81 in ocean city. once again, the dew points pretty high at 70. tomorrow, about the same kind of moisture in the air. a little warmer than today, which means the low to mid-90s we're expecting. we'll probably feel like maybe upper 90s tomorrow afternoon.

baltimore. what i really want to show you is the direction now. the northwest wind that is a drying wind and that is indicative of that cold front passing through the area yesterday. so the dry air is in place. it will continue to be so as we go throughout the day. then we are watching another cold front that is going to be moving in here as we go through the weekend. that is the one that is going to drop those temperatures down. now, we head to the tropics because we do have tropical storm gordon to talk about. this is staying away from the lower 48. the u.s. will not be involved in that at all. temperature, 71 degrees this morning. midday, temperature coming in around 85 degrees. we can see mostly sunny skies and what we have here, temperatures will go up. i'm forecasting right and 88 degrees as we go into the 3:00 hour and also the 4:00 hour. but this is what i want to show you. the weekend forecast, everyone, looks fabulous. as we go into friday, we will stay dry for the most part through the day. we do have a chance for some thunderstorms in the forecast.
