in northwest d.c., diane cho abc7 news. maureen: thank you diane. developing now a warning for swimmers on the north carolina coast after two shark attacks. a 13-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy each lost an arm in separate attacks late yesterday afternoon. the attacks happened on the same beach about an hour apart. >> the bystander to start the process of stopping the bleeding. that was the biggest concern with the patients was the blood loss. maureen: both teenagers are in good condition. there have been six shark attacks on the east coast in two weeks. the attacks occur as we enter a busy beach season on the east coast. maryland bureau chief brad bell is live with the reaction there. brad? brad: there is awareness that the shark attacks happen in ocean city tonight but no special precautions taken except the reminder from the beach patrol to not go swimming once the lifeguard steps down from the chair. tonight we can see no one in the water. >> with news of the shark attack spreading even among vacationers it is hard for some not to think about

the fire was an inferno, flames heavy smoke shooting out of this row house in northwest d.c. two. people died five hurt. ellen kerry lives next door. what did you hear this morning? >> at 2:30 we woke up to shouting and loud screams. and then ambulances. >> reporter: the fire started on the 1600 block of riggs place between dupont and logan circle. this evening, firefighters passed out safety flyers. >> what we're doing right now is canvassing the neighborhood who has actual smoke detectors. if they're not working or too old, we'll provide them. >> it's good to see them out here, giving the community that support. >> reporter: firefighters are also investigating. if the smoke detectors were working inside the three-story house. a neighbor who didn't want to show her face on camera says she saw the homeowner during the fire. >> jumped out of the window. and he was hurt. he was bleeding. but they took him to an ambulance and took him to the hospital. >> reporter: investigators say two other people died. we spoke to john mecum. he lives in the bottom of the. his place was destroyed.

and today we should learn more about the deadly mansion murders in northwest d.c. police expected to release more search warrant documents later today. we got the first wave of documents yesterday. news4's megan mcgrath has been taking a closer look at the papers and is here to tell us what we're learning at this point. good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning, aaron. if you look behind me here you can see that the mansion in northwest is still surrounded, encircled by police tape. officers have been keeping an eye on things. but it's still consider an active crime scene even though the murders happened weeks ago. we are learning more about the kind of evidence that investigators have found and what they're still looking for. according to a search warrant just unsealed police are looking at phone records for jordan wallace. that's savvas savopoulos' personal assistant and driver. he delivered the $40,000 to the house hours before the fire was set and the bodies discovered. police are tracking wallace's movements in the days and hours prior to the murders looki

it was this domestic assault in northwest d.c., four adults, two men, two women were stabbed we're told by police last night in the 1400 block of t street northwest. but police right now still looking for the suspects in another quadruple stabbing that happened over in chinatown. one woman, three men stabbed right outside the verizon center. that happened around 2:30 early sunday morning. the woman was stabbed in the neck. one man in the back of the head. another in the arm. police tell us the suspects in that case, a black woman wearing a yellow dress, a black man with a mohawk and he was wearing a pink shirt at the me. we are told that all 13 people who were shot, stabbed over the weekend are recovering right now this morning at the hospital expected to be okay. none of the incidents are linked but police right now still investigating all the cases. they have released some vehicle descriptions in regards to some shooting that happened in southeast saturday. we have the vehicle descriptions, the suspect descriptions all on our wusa9 mobile app. check those out. call police if anything
