just take a look outside of the studios with northwest d.c. and we have incredibly heavy rain and notice the flag not blowing all that much and the rain is coming down and coming down hard around our region. we did see stronger wind gusts a couple of minutes ago and that rain coming through the d.c. area right now and that has prompteded the national weather service to issue a flash flood warning for washington. if you live in the d.c. area that was the alert you were getting there on your phone saying you were under a flash flood warning. notice where the warnings are, back to the west watching this storm right here and this is the same storm along the same trail that we're going to be seeing. so we have numerous storms one in fairfax county in and around the beltway now and another one backar jefferson county west virginia and another one toward montgomery up near 70 in frederick and possible, we did have a tornado warning in that area a little bit earlier. so it would be interesting to see what happens there. the lightning has been prolific
