northwest. all concerns are for the smoke today for us and the hot temperatures. the good news is it's one and done. fire concerns continue until 8:00 tonight, mainly for higher elevations in napa county , but parts of sonoma county and solano in there as well. you know, we don't have a roaring offshore breeze. thank goodness there's some okay. gusts in the higher elevations. the good news, though, is by tomorrow, what we call heights or the pressure starts to drop rapidly and a low, unseasonably strong low is dropping in for the end of august and early sept here, which will lead to, i think, some rain for northern california. sure looks like northern san bento valley. there could be some one inch amounts, some of the higher maybe around mount shasta, half inch to an inch around susanville, northeast california. and if you're going up to tahoe or truck, i would keep an eye on this guy because it looks rather impressive to me. there are some two inch amounts being forecast over about 84 hours, just east to the west of tahoe and truckee and some of the upper 50 and 80. so something to keep an eye on. probably drizzle for us and cooler temps.
