washington. it's hard to see, but this little system here, it hasn't moved for quite sometime. right there, pretty much along the line between northwestst washington. and it's filled in a little bit, gotten heavier. so one area of rain here in d.c. more rain off to the west towards front royal down to the south, south of la plata we're seeing rain showers across southern portions of the potomac river and across the chesapeake bay pushing off into eastern maryland and to the north pushing up toward baltimore and shower and heavy rain there. so scattered morning showers. some of it has been heavy in places. let's take a broughter look at the area and we'll show you the direction of this rain. this is a pretty vigorous storm system off the coast here. area of low pressure out here and we're getting just the western end of that as some rain fills in along the chesapeake bay and the potomac river pushing up to the north and east. out to west, this is another system. now you look at these two and say this is the main problem. not really. this is where some morning we had shower activity. some of this will fill in during the day and bring us
