looking at what's going to be 30 from kingston and poughkeepsie to newburgh this morning, 35 carmel, 33 norwalk, 39 long island. these numbers are cool and crisp, but they're pretty close to normal for the overnight hours here. got a calm wind and it's right out of the north, mostly calm in a lot of spots, 6 to 10 miles an hour wind from the park over toward newark. so we have clear skies all the way back to the great lakes. canada. northerly wind. it will keep sliding eastward. the north. that will allow milder air to come up from the south. so here's our high that we're talking about, pushing down that dryer, cooler air today. but as the high keeps sliding on into the canadian maritimes, we see coming around that a nice warm air mass that will continue to build in through saturday. at the coast, once this high kind of come around from the south and the water temperature is about 47 in atlantic. so that may make the south- facing shores a little bit cooler. after school sunshine, 55 to 56 degrees, great for getting outside after school, kids, and after-school sports. 56 degrees. tonight patchy
