novato police are investigating a string of suspicious fires.e have been eight fires in the last 24 hours. all of these fires occurred within a mile of each other on trinity drive in novato. in one of these fires, a car was burned in a garage. the owner of that home was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation. there are no active fires burning at this hour. *another problem for the new span of the bay bridge..and officials say, the problem stems from a part that's critical to the was bridge's stability in a quake. the anchor rods ---which hold together the strands of the main cable in the bridge ---are off-center.and in an earthquake. those cables could rub up against sharp metal plates that could damage the cables and effect the bridges stability to fix the problem. the rods will have to be pushed back into place. or the holes they go into, will have to be enlarged. work to fix the issue has already started. and could last until the fall. the cost to fix it is not clear yet. but might just get added on the bill for other fixes. officials say,
