in novato, we are down to zero visibility.k in some parts of the bay area, especially in some of the valleys. in the tri-valley, we have seen it come up to quarter of a mile and at times it's zero. it will be a while before the fog and clouds clear out, but we are in for a nice day. temperatures headed for the low and mid-70s for this afternoon. in walnut creek, we are headed for 71 degrees. oakland today reaching upper 60s. san mateo today headed for 69 degrees. 64 in the outer areas, and we are taking a break from the rain for now and it's approaching the coast but will move into the bay area later today with scattered showers first starting in the north bay, and 12:00 we are seeing the moving into san francisco and oakland and down the peninsula and into the south bay before sunrise tomorrow morning. we could see spotty light showers late tomorrow morning, but the afternoon is looking nice once again. all of the rain for most of us coming while we are sleeping, so we are looking at about a quarter inch of rain, and slightly

in the marina district, it's 69 in novato. ukiah, up to 74 degrees. lighting up the menorah in union square. temperatures cooling off going into tonight back down into the mid-50s. still a lot of rain up around the pacific northwest with a new atmospheric river headed that way. all of the rain continues to target areas north. it's keeping any chances of rain from moving in and keeping the atmospheric river to the north. we will not see that change so our dry weather continues over the next few days, and we measured an inch and a quarter in san francisco in what is usually one of the wettest months a year. we are still at a surplus. in san josÉ, we only measured 0.1 of a an inch of rain all month long, and usually the second wettest month of the year. very unusual to see this long of a stretch of dry conditions. we'll see the temperatures warming up in the low 70s. in san francisco, expect more high temperatures in the upper 60s. >>> let's talk about our climate in crisis. i know it has been warm out there, but we are heading into the colder months of

oh, one near the downtown novato let's pull the video of the truck involved chp says the driver of this big rig was going southbound on highway one. oh, one, he fell asleep and crashed into a guardrail. now that 18 wheeler, like i said, with caring big tons of scrap metal. >> chp says the big break flipped onto the side of the road at all of the debris wuhan to the northbound lanes of highway one. oh, one now. a driver of a separate car hit. the talk of the scrap metal that fell off the 18 wheeler. but the driver of that car is okay. but right now there's only one lane open to traffic on the northbound lanes chp is using the shoulder on the south side to get cars moving the driver of the 18 wheeler walked away with minor injuries. but caltrans is still on scene. they just cut the guardrail that the driver hit. and as i said right now, they are using a bulldozer to pick up that scrap metal that fell onto the highway. they are currently loading it onto away. >> the 18 with the medal. but of right now chp tells me that they are unsure of when all of the lanes will be open to traffic a big
