it is 11 degrees warmer in novato, 9-10 degrees warmer over in the inland, east bay.end warm up is happening right now. here's the view from mount tam. looking at fingers of fog traveling across the bay. oakland 69, 75 in mountain view, 83 san jose, 78 in palo alto, 57 at half moon bay. at the golden gate, you can see the fog is still there. other temperature readings at this hour, 82 in santa rosa, novato 88, napa 78, 91 in fairfield and cochran, 88 in livermore. you can see that marine layer getting deeper and deeper. these are the forecast headlines. it will be expanding tonight, producing drizzle near the coastline. triple digit inland heat returns monday through wednesday. a cooler pattern developing at the end of next week. look for the marine layer deepening across the bay with a few high clouds passing as well. likely, drizzle is offshore. some of it may actually produce some patchy drizzle near the coastline and around the bay overnight and in the early morning hours. by midmorning tomorrow, look for mainly sunny skies. overnight lows will be in the mid 50's

it looks like novato, inverness.ttle showers or there's plenty coming off the sierra and it's going to be with us, i think most of the morning. early afternoon before it starts to lift a little bit by this evening. but when you can see some of that activity, big lightning displays there. but the bulk of that took a dive towards santa clara valley. but the moisture will continue to rotate around until later this evening. you watch how you see start to get a break. about 4:00. but at 4:00, if you get a break and that sun comes out, temperatures will just rocket up to the upper 90s would not be surprised if somebody hit 100 if we get clearing soon enough. but cloud cover will be with us off and on even more so i think as we head is the low kind of runs along gates and kind of lifts towards the end of the week. now cooler weather is on the way by the end of the week, but for the next couple of days, it's going to be some low clouds, some high and mid-level clouds, partly to mostly cloudy, muggy, few showers and 80s and 9

north bay temperatures, there's novato.e a quarter moon right now, and it's going to be very visible as well with the peak of the meteor shower happening this weekend. if you are patient and you have a clear view, you may see anywhere from 150 to 200 meteors an hour, so that will be a spectacular sight this weekend. we have to worry about the clouds coming in with the marine layer. it will clear up quite a bit as our temperatures heat up, and we are growing low 80s today and tomorrow to the 90s for the weekend. we have the higher temperatures inland, and we will typically see cloud cover. we are staying in the 60s and low 70s in san francisco. >>> mike, what is the update on the report for silicon valley. >> the rest of silicon valley is moving smoothly. we are looking right here in san josÉ for the first signs of slowing in the next 15 minutes or so. we're not there yet. we saw slowing and from time to time i see the sensors slowing approaching 101, and if you use the hov lanes you know the flyover takes you to southbound
