you can see we are downtown novato here, and there are not any issues here. this is an area that has flooded in the past. when we do get big rain events in this area. and tonight, it's been this kind of sweeping through, where we would see a few minutes of heavy rain and it will go back to heavy rain. we're not seeing any street flooding in the area that we're in right now, where we are also seeing a few wind gusts too, so the wind definitely seems to be an issue here. and i think a lot of people are looking at this and maybe thinking, you know, it may not be as bad as what they thought. but the big thing is maybe what happens tomorrow morning during the commute as people wake up. of course, it's been raining all night. we could see some road flooding here as people head to work tomorrow. so people seem prepared, we have not seen them out tonight and people are taking precautions going into this, but for now, we're not seeing the worst of it yet. >> of course, it takes one tree down to cause a lot of problems. we appreciate it. >>> people are also spending ti

upper 50s are expected today anywhere from santa rosa all the way down into novato. so i'm going to drop the floor map. and i want to show you over here on this monitor, since the other one is deciding not to work. here's what we're gearing up for. light showers in the forecast for us right now. already just pushing in from offshore closer to santa rosa, novato, and throughout the next couple of hours, this atmospheric river starts to tilt its way all the way down into san francisco, making its way into the santa clara valley, into the evening hours tonight, early morning hours tomorrow. it's game on when it comes to these heavy showers, holding on tight to us throughout our morning forecast tomorrow. so it's going to be challenging getting to work and school in those early morning hours. but those showers get even stronger as we head into the afternoon just around 4 or 5 6:00. we're gearing up for some thunderstorm activity anywhere from the east bay all the way up to our coastline. as this atmospheric river starts to track off into the east. the good news is we dry

novato over an inch. santa rosa downtown 1.14 and yountville 1.02. i think that's six inches of rain this week in yountville, but boy, the wind was just whipping. mount almanor 85 sfo, pacifica, half moon bay, san jose, fairfield 37 to 51mph. any more rain? yeah, maybe a little bit here. 10th of an inch would probably cover it here, but we are decreasing on the rain as this system moves out. still winter storm warning in the mountains until noon. so maybe another 3 to 5in of snow up there. and then it should be great for the weekend. although the lows will be really cold 40s on most of the temps. don't think these change too much. there's too much moisture in the air, but a couple little showers still popping out and they can produce some brief heavy rain. we'll get a break though as we head towards the next couple of days, probably into tuesday, and watch what happens wednesday here. forecast models are trending wetter again and i just, you know, i can't ignore it. it looks like middle of next week into maybe the end of next week. we're getting more
