and stanley erck the president and ceo of novavax joins me now.stanley. big win for your company. tell me about it. >> we've got to a tipping point for the company. we've filed in multiple regulatory agencies for approvals. we started with indonesia and the philippines. we recently got approval in europe for the vaccine and w.h.o., the world health organization, so we're in the process of manufacturing quite a bit of doses and getting them out. we shipped 10 million doses to indonesia last week. and so we're getting our vaccine out. it's really positive moment for the company. ashley: certainly is. and again, re-emphasize, it is really effective is it against on of chron? >> we think -- omicron? >> we think so. what we have is efficacy data from phase 3 clinical trials which shows that our vaccine works between 90 and 100% against both the wuhan, the original strain but also gives data on the delta variant and we have data that we have recently put out in a paper that shows with omicron we get a very potent response after two doses and then when y

novavax's covid-19 vaccine has gotten a positive recommendation in the eu.t just days ago got the emergency from the world health organization, but that obviously giving a nice lift to that stock. stocks by and large not getting a lift this morning. gina: i think it is going to be taft -- going to be tough. the market has already been butting up against resistance, with concerns about growth emerging while inflation remains hotter than expected. as they continue to battle between these two fundamentals, we have kind of gone nowhere since late october. it is hard to imagine we get much higher in the face of all these concerns. kailey: one of those concerns is what is going to happen with fiscal stimulus in the u.s. representative alexandria ocasio-cortez in the house has been speaking on msnbc. she says bidens agenda is not beyond repair, but also says democrats have every right to be "furious" with joe manchin, who said he was a no on build back better over the weekend. we will cover this story and how it translates into economics and the markets. and we had

oddly, vaccine makers like persona and novavax are down as well i am kind of blocking it with my christmasthere you are, some of the names. let's go to the bond market. rick santelli is watching the 1.5% level trying to wonder if we will end the year under 175% on the ten-year >> it is possible. i think we could creep up a little bit just to put a face on it we settled at the ends of last year at .91. we are basically up 58 basis points in a ten-year note. but, of course, many expected, as brian has been pointing out, that yields would be even higher than that. they have moderated. that's for sure. let's look at intraday of two-year notes we auctioned 56 billion of those today. what's interesting here is you can see at 1:00 eastern we spiked a little bit. but there is a lot of sideways activity in treasuries at the moment and right now pending where it closes, it certainly looks as though that two-year note as you see on this chart will have its highest yield close, 70 basis points or higher since covid hit in march of 2020 if we look overseas -- this is key. bund yields right now are trad

what about novavax there's a lot about how it will not only get its vaccine approved, but it may be more devel developed for omicron or other variants after that. what's your take >> well, it's tough to understand beyond omicron where it really sits or where anyone sits given the fact you don't know if and when or where the next variant is coming from. regarding the company specifically, they still yet to be approved in the u.s they've gotten go ahead in some other geographies. but the issue for the company might be at this point that you know, so much of the u.s. has been vaccinated already. omicron is making its way through many people who have been vaccinated and boosted, so the real market opportunity for the company might be in these international regions where pricing is not as powerful we'll see, but given the fact that moderna and pfizer have dominated so far and biontech obviously, it remains to be seen where it will fit. >> your best picks heading into next year. leave us with a little opportunity. >> i still like the cro space. these are stocks that help out bio pharma in term
