tom emmer is heading up the nrc. i'm humbled to have the privilege to lead this conference. i will tell you, our number one goal is to get america continually moving forward. we serve in a divided government and divided country. our goal is to unite us back together again and make sure we win the majority back. we know the challenge of what we're working on and wanted to hit the ground running. we know democrats have a plan. they want to disrupt and want to try to impeach and they want to stall what achievements we have been able to move forward. we know america is too great for such a small vision. we will work through every state. we know where we have our challenges to win back the suburban areas and we will do just that. but i truly believe america is and will always be the strongest nation on the face of the earth. now i want to introduce our newest member of our leadership team, our conference chair, liz heney. ms. cheney: an honor to be here and serve on this team. i look forward to being the conference chair for the house republicans. we have a lot of work. but we ha

. >> in broward county what's happening is they were supposed to start counting vote nrc recount that was ordered yesterday. they were supposed to start counting around 7:00 a.m. and according to our colleague they didn't start counting until four hours after that so, yes, they are an hour under way but here's what happened. all of the machines they're using for recount which was what was triggered at a.5% margin, they're recalibrated before they start feeding the ballots through. one machine in broward county had an issue that held up the process that's been rectified but it took four hours to fix the process so they have about 700,000 votes they need to count and this is a big county. of course it's a democratic stronghold, one we've been talking about because it's had issues, same goes with palm beach county but the county you have to look at for machine recount that have a number of ballots to count are places like memorial day, br miami-dade, palm beach county. so we're hoping all of those counties can report by the deadline which is thursday at 3:00 p.m. so that's the next deadl

it's just quite ridiculous so yeah, i think the nrc at governor scott's lead going to see what we can do to fight these battles because i think it's incredibly important to make sure that when a person goes in to vote they on the rules. they understanding what they have to do. they need to know that their vote will be counted. they also need to know that people haven't followed the rules they are designed to make sure people can vote. they need to know that their votes won't be counted. we have to work really really hard to make sure that happens. >> martha: jessica first johnson, thank you very much. good to have you here tonight. >> thank you very much. >> martha: here now katie pavlich and juan williams co-host o of "the five" and fox news analyst. juan, i guess you take issue with what she just said. >> the clear issue for me she was saying that people have to know that there is a procedure, you have to follow the procedure in order to vote. i think lots of people, especially i would point out in georgia did just that. they applied. they registered to vote. and it's over 50,000, m

how are you going to get the country back together in the position of leadership nrc? are you going to make america united begin? >> i believe strongly in the psyche we just have to communicate better, go to places where not expected to go. we do town halls in every segment of arc unity and our district and i do inner-city town halls. we invite everybody to come in. i will stand there and take what you think would be hostile fire but it's less and less hostile the longer you stay. when they can hear which are motivated by, it is what you guys are saying that we're all trying to get to the same place. well it the best thing for the most americans. we have different ideas of how to get there. we never shy away from debate because we know our good is going to prevail in the end. why would you ever not -- we had a lot of republicans stop doing town halls. i thought that was tragic because this is the most important than ever for us to be going out and engaging the public because the media were not present on site. who will do if we don't go into those arenas? a lot of it i
