ntsb officials went to korea to interview asiana officials. they spent time in an aircraft simulator and gathered asiana training documents. they want to know whether the cockpit crew had enough instruction on how to fly the highly automated boeing 777. it may help explain why the plane fell short of the runway hitting a rock wall at sfo. the ntsb is also reviewing maintenance records and scouring the reckage once again. they are also working on a computer simulation of the crash to better understand what happened last summer. we will hear more from the ntsb in december when a two-day investigative hearing about the crash will take place here in washington. we've also discovered that the ntsb is looking at something else. emergency evacuation slides. one didn't open outside of the plane, it opened inside pinning two flight attendants to the floor. tonight on channel 2 news, my investigation of the faulty slides and my federal investigators probably weren't surprised they -- why federal investigators probably weren't surprised they didn't work.
