at least since o'connell window that you don't need to limit disclosure requirements. there are four pages from a massive california judicial council special report explaining what the problems of these obsolete laws is including california and what should be done about it. i have brought copies of that to. one thing that really needs moving a court rule only for judicial races. we need the old follow-up to citizens united. we need to move on disclosure. brandenburg put out a press release. today's ruling that is said does contain one important silver lining. states can and should fully disclose financial sources. >> a perfect segue to bert brandenburg, the executive director of the nonpartisan group justice at stake. i have asked him to talk about the partisan feud that has erupted on state supreme courts over this issue. basically has caperton being implemented respectively anywhere? has it made things worse by making a more partisan argument on state supreme courts? what are the consequences of citizens united when you add that to the mix? >> thank you. good morning

she misrepresented the real character of frank o'connell who was elegant and gracious to herself and others. she went on -- a successful person in his middle years. she came to america to write with a purpose and a mission and accomplished it and put everything else aside to do that. her marriage had to conform to that pattern. >> a question in the back. a microphone is coming. i am going to ask jennifer a question. one of the things i found interesting in your book was your discussion of a ayn rand s.a. the manifesto of individualism and particularly the changes from the first to second draft. can you talk about that? >> it was something ayn rand road immediately after her first period of political activism in 1940. when this campaign was over she joined the club's which eventually dissolved. let's form our own group. we found one partner who needed a statement of principles. basically two days straight, 36 hours straight pounding out this document. the manifesto of individualism was meant to be an inverse communism manifesto. it did not include the word altruism more than twice. th

[applause] then we have a very, very special guest here, sara granda. who overcame great obstacles to pass her bar exam. and in recent years we added a miniature pony and a pot-bellie it's not unusual for me to look up from working on the budget o something to find a pig and a pony standing there staring at now, the dog's food, which we keep in a canister with a screw-on lid, sits on the top o the dog's kennel. the pony has learned to knock the canister off the top of the kennel, and then he and the pig wedge it into the corner. there's this ridge on the lid of the canister, and the pig
