fox 29's chris o'connell is at the scene.eighbors who simply cannot believe it. >> reporter: lucy, homicide detectives are trying to track down the killer of this 85-year-old woman here inside her east mt. airy home. 85-year-old regina bruner found dead inside the first floor bedroom this morning. investigators say the woman who has lived here for decades was beaten stabbed and her throat was slash. bruner's 2007 silver toyota was also reported missing from her driveway. police were called to the stone rancher in the 300 block of rumford road earlier today for welfare check but when police arrived, they found bruner's lifeless body inside that bedroom. there was no signs of forced entry, and it is not clear how long she had been there. but sources tell us they had seen her on saturday night. she has obviously -- this has shaken this neighborhood a very quiet neighborhood. including friends who say bruner was full of life. she was active and a fixture in

fox 29's chris o'connell joins us from whitehall township. one of the places that saw significant storm damage. i mean it's surrounding you chris. >> reporter: well, sunshine, there's no wind it's actually gorgeous right now. but look what's left behind. some major damage here in whitehall township lehigh county we just pulled into the township and we saw tons of trees. what we're looking at here is right off mcarthur road main drag here through the allentown whitehall township area. every heart road we saw about eight trees down taken down by power lines. this is one of them here, and we did check these power lines have been shut off. so they are clear. they're not hot power lines. but see all the glass, this is from a street light that must have blown over just literally. the utility pole in half you see over here this is what's left of that street light. that was from the wind just knocked it down. these wires they're power lines that went all the way literally probably half a line -- half mile of power lines that are now snapped by these

let's get right out to fox 29's chris o'connell live at the airport.hris, what do we know at this point? >> reporter: well, dawn that, hard landing happened about 7:30 tonight when a private jet skids to an emergency landing here on a runway at philadelphia international airport. we can tell you all five people on board passengers and crew are okay but the incident causing a ripple effect for people traveling tonight. the hawk kerr 4,000 aircraft could be seen on the runway shortly after the emergency landing. its nose on the runway and collapsed landing gear. the fire department was on scene as that plane landed. you could actually see the pool of fire retardant foam all over the runway. we now know the twin engine jet originateed in carlsbad, new mexico. it was on its way to monmouth airport in new jersey when philadelphia international airport officials got the call. the emergency call that that plane was in distress. luckily amazing until pilot was able to bring down that aircraft as the plane came to a stop all five passengers evacuateed safely sa

fox 29's chris o'connell is live in upper darby tonight. was a pretty close call. >> reporter: it's amazeing this guy wasn't killed. this crash happened on west chester pike yesterday here in upper darby. it just happened to be a block away from the upper darby police department. as a matter of fact, the police department's own cameras caught this crash on video and wait until you hear where that driver was coming from. >> sit on that step i'd be dead. >> reporter: joseph mcdevitt says he's lucky to be alive. he was sitting on the corner of west chester pike yesterday when this happened. take a look at the top right of your screen. an orange ford mustang makes a pass on the right then spins out of control. hitting a corner store and spinning out. mcdevitt was just inches away. >> he wanted to pass on the right side and he nailed the dam gas and the son of a bleep spun out and came down and dam near killed me. >> look again and watch the car coming around the turn. the driver just misses two other pedestrians crossing the street and that's m
