martin o'malley has been a successful governor of maryland but he is dinged here lately by the bad rolloutobamacare in the state and the loss of his -- those are the main ones where looking at in terms of -- host: our caller is robert in atlanta, georgia on the democrats line. caller: good morning. it has occurred to me for a long time that the most progressive thing these progressives could do is do whatever they can to preserve social programs for those who actually need it. there has been a lot of middle-class into those programs, people who don't need them but get them nonetheless. i'm annoyed when i see organizations like aarp -- whenever a suggestion to do anything to preserve or protect social security, raise taxes are raised the aid, the entire liberal organization freaks out. that is highly inappropriate productive and economics don't work. if you take a clearheaded look at the economics of those programs, the amount of the budget they are consuming now they will fall flat on their face and harm the people who need it while those who should not necessarily be fully benefiting from
