our donie o'sullivan has more after years of rampant misinformation in the final weeks of the trump presidencycial media companies are taking unprecedented actions against the accounts of president donald trump. facebook announcing on thursday that it will suspend president trump from posting on its platforms for the remainder of his term in office, and they hinted that it may become a permanent ban. on wednesday, going into thursday, president trump had a 12-hour suspension from twitter. now, of course these steps, you know, many people will say that they are good moves by the social media companies, stopping the president from sharing blatant misinformation, conspiracy theories but in some ways, it's all a bit too little, too late, and also, suspending the president from twitter, stopping him from tweeting, you know, it is a good way for facebook, for mark zuckerberg to guess headlines and maybe some positive press, but it doesn't solve the problem of all the conspiracy theories, of all the violent speech that are spreading across facebook and facebook owned properties like instagram and wha
