surveillance video rifling through a communal mailbox at an apartment complex on canyon oaks drive in the oakland hills. police say the pair used stolen or forged us postal service keys to unlock that mailbox. police say the usps has been notified. uc berkeley police are reporting a series of armed robberies near campus over the past month. the latest incident was reported around 420 yesterday afternoon on roaring street near dwight way. police say a woman was robbed of her tote bag by someone who was armed with a gun. police say this was the fifth armed robbery or attempted robbery this month. and almost all of the cases, the robbers immediately took off in a vehicle. oakland business is say they are going on strike this week to highlight their concerns about rising crime and the toll it's taking on their businesses. more than 200 businesses are expected to close on tuesday in protest, but organizers say they're upset with city officials after oakland failed to meet a deadline that would have granted them state funding to deal with retail crime. well the a's today played their final home game of the s
