oakland is not the same. oakland has changed. it has not. for the best, but for the worse. yes. yes. oakland is out of control. it is. i'm scared to even be in my own home at times by myself, because i'm afraid someone may kick my door in mayor thao. stop acting like a crying baby every time. and also, you have to take responsibility and learn how to work with the people of the of the city. and again, you keep saying that you are taking you know, inheriting this problem. guess what? you are part of this problem. yesterday, mayor chao's supporters rallied in her name near the rockridge bart station. the group called oaklanders, defending democracy. that was the name of the group there. the mayor was there as well. she talked about what she's done while in office. even with the distraction of the recall, under my leadership as mayor of oakland, we've made tremendous progress. community. crime is down by 35%, and our downtown is coming back to life with more and more foot traffic every single day. organizers of this recall effort needed 25,000 signatures to get this on the ballot.
