oakland zoo. ktvu's kraig debro joins us now with information. >> reporter: good morning, tori. within the past few minutes, the police tow trucks have hauled away both of the vehicles involved in this accident at 106th and macarthur. this is just west of the oakland zoo. just a horrible accident. the impact happened probably around 80 miles an hour, according to witnesses. if you look in the middle of the street and beyond, as you go to the auto service center, you can just see all of the oil, the fluid from the cars, all spilled out as a result of the impact. the oakland police are trying to put together the last moments of the chase that led to the crash and ended two lives. at 2:00 a.m. this morning, the chp said it spotted a bmw driving westbound. driving too fast. then they attempted to pull over the driver. instead, the suspect sped off, and the chp gave chase. the vehicle got off the freeway at 106th avenue and foothill and continued driving northbound on macarthur. when the vehicle got to macarthur and 106th avenue, it got into a collision with the second vehicle. >> i figured, they're just going to pass each
