wb 580 is slow from richmond pwky. oaklandaring slow in both directions ( darya ) repair work underway this morning after cal-trans discovered 200- potentially weak tiles on the bay bridge east tunnel at yerba buena island. the faulty tiles were found during a recent inspection of the 80- year old section of the tunnel. last year, a tile flew off and hit a car that was driving through the tunnel. the woman driving the car was not injured, but said it was terrifying. caltrans says it will be doing the repairs during off commute hours and they should be finished by june. bay bridge wb 80 is backing up through the maze. oaklandng... the cause of death of singer george michael has been released. the coroners office says he had heart disease and died of natural causes. they say michael died of a condition that limits the heart from pumping blood. he died on christmas day at his home in southern england. michael was 53 years old.
