down into the san luis obispo, santa barbara and into venture and all the way down to los angeles ands cooler outside. there is not a lot of wind, not a law of clouds. temperatures are will. valley fog is something to be concerned about because the ground is wet and it is going to be a cold night. doors open for starters but the system going through wednesday no biggie. made maybe a little something thursday morning. friday afternoon some sprinkling in the north. late saturday and into sunday and beyond is when we have an opportunity for some drenching rains, some significant step. it is tough because we have, the storm door has essentially been open. was opened last night, it was open last week, it is just not producing much in the way of significant precipitation. this is a big, deep trough here. you can see the activity in southern california. they got over an inch and a half of rain in some places. see the yellows on the reds, that is significant rainfall. had that system remained in our latitude which is typically the case for this time of the year. it would have been 3 to 5 inch

wait a day or two because they are getting their first significant storm of the season from san luis obispo, points south, even monterey. for us locally, we're on the tail end of it, especially on the north bay. you could see perhaps nothing at all. live doppler 7 with the cloud cover and the storm system offshore. there's the area of low pressure. and it's going to push that moisture into southern california, bringing some snow, as much as ten inches for the central sierra, around yosemite. looking at winter weather advisories. it's 48 in san francisco, 50 in oakland, mountain view, and half moon bay. 46 in san jose. you'll see the most, but that's not saying much. and morgan hill, numbers in the mid-40s. as we look at the golden gate bridge, the high clouds here, and the dry pavement, temperatures are in the upper 30s. santa rosa had a little fog, cold in the north bay. 45 novato, low to mid-40s concord and livermore and maybe a tenth of an inch over into our east bay valleys. so very little rain expected. and unfortunately, yeah, a lot of you are disappointed, i know. we had this from to

see on the central coast, special marine warnings for potential water spouts offshore of san luis obispo. this is an energetic storm packing its biggest punch to the south. you can see some of the rain showing up overnight 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. in the south bay, santa cruz mountains, less across the north bay. things are start to dry out once we pass lunchtime tomorrow. the rain projections at least of the storm still highest for the santa cruz mountains and areas south of san jose. so morgan hill, santa cruz, down towards salinas, probably getting more out of the system than areas north of san francisco. round two comes in for wednesday into thursday. that two weeks will be a relatively light rain event as futurecast shows. most locations showing less than a quarter inch. other chances, next weekend, couple things going for this set up. it's longer lasting and we'll have a chance of tapping at times into an atmospheric river. parts of the north bay, rain totals can start to add up between saturday and sunday. as you look at the seven-day forecast, again, not a big impact out of the storm u
