we did was build a little protocol that any time a woman appeared at the hospital saying, "my obstetriciansent me for an elective induction," we first carefully tracked the data. turns out that 28% of our patients were not good candidates when we started. it was a phone call back to their physician saying, "doctor, your patient doesn't meet professional criteria "for elective induction.
