that cape may rain now into ocean city and going up to atlantic city, and then long beach island, weave other rain. this is coming in through south jersey. millville getting hit hard now. and so it's kind of scattered around. we had a heavy rain area go through berks county, and caused some flooding in the reading area. an inch of rain in just 15 minutes. and there's still tremendous rains back north of washington that we have to watch for the rest of the night. the amounts of rain so far, again, very, very scattered and chaotic. very little or nothing in a good bit of our area. but over 4 inches in parts of southern delaware. 5.5 in chesapeake bay. 2.8 in reading. so when the rain hits, it can be really heavy. here's the future cast for the rest of the night. showing this area back to the west, coming in, but it's breaking up. it's kind of scattered around. so we can't get that consistent rain across any part of the area. there we are at 8:30 in the morning. so, yeah, it's wet to start the day tomorrow. but most of any heavy rain would still be well to the south. so i don't think th

the hottest weather of the year as we take live look at ocean city. we are tracking even hotter weather. for those who down the shore don't expect to sea breeze to make it any cooler. meteorologist kathy orr is here with your forecast at 11:00. >> iain we're talking about heat and talking about humidity and you know when you combine those two, it feels oppressive and tomorrow will be the peak of both across the region. you can see that haze down the shore. it's all because of the high humidity from the city to the shore. as those dew point temperatures go up around 70 and when you see that, you know we are in for it tomorrow. the temperature 84 degrees in philadelphia. right now in pottstown 77. 82 in trenton and atlantic city at the airport it's 83. that's some 9 miles inland on the boardwalk where pink is performing 82 degrees. ocean city 81. see aisle 75. north wildwood 81. the ocean water temperature up to 67. our fox future cast continues to move through the overnight into tomorrow. so we'll see some sun in the morning. some high clouds moving in

here is a live view outside in ocean city. look how nice the camera view is. a gorgeous shot as the sun coming up this morning. we will see a mix of clouds and sun today with the possibility of a few spot showers or an isolated storm particularly in the afternoon hours. so right now, really nothing for us to track with the area looking nice and clear. you see that little blip of green kind of dissolve before it makes into our area. i think we'll see some spotty showers later on. we're at 71 in philadelphia, northeast philly at 70. mid upper 60s to the north and west. pottstown in the mid to upper 60s. and then low 70s for areas like atlantic city, wildwood 73, dover, you are at 70 degrees right now. even our water temperatures now in the low 70s both along our delaware beaches and the jersey shore. so in philadelphia, we're tracking from the 70s to the low 80s by 11:00 a.m., but it is a hot and humid forecast. some of us will make it to the 90s. we'll talk about the highs across all our neighborhoods coming up. >>> violent protests ahead of the last day of the

more comfortable in some locations like ocean city that sea breeze in the mid 80's but that is feeling much better compared to the city at this point in time. it feels like this when you factor in heat and humidity. feels like 99 in philadelphia still feeling in the triple digits for wilmington, millville, atlantic city, it feels like 100 degrees right now. we are tracking some storms, very strong line of storms, making its way in the poconos, right now we have severe thunderstorm warnings, that are in place for some locations including a carbon and monroe counties, until 6:30 p.m. we are talking about very strong, gusty wind upward of 60 miles an hour. also quarter sized hail possible with this storm as it continues to press through. moving south ande at around 35 to 40 miles an hour, so we have a severe thunderstorm watch because of this line of storms until 10:00 p.m. that includes philadelphia, points north, in north new jersey, new york, so we have a mess of storms heading our way we will track this for you. we could see thunder right here in center city between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m

we will head further south, of ocean city, atlantic city, sea isle, avalon, stone harbor, wildwood, cape may where we are seeing lighter rains but see these dark greens and yellow filtering in there and that is chance for more moderate rainfall and then southern delaware has been just hammered, for the last 24 hours or more. all of the orange yellow and red has since moved off coastline and we are getting light shower activity extending from dewey and bethenny beaches down toward the fenwick island area. there is still a flash flood warning in effect for southern cape may county until 8:15 this morning, you never want to drive across flooded roadways and thinking about those road, this morning it will be wet, there is a chance for flooding, so we will go were not best chance for driving around this morning, this afternoon we will start to dry it out, but still showers. evening will be good. no weather issues as we head later in the evening and overnight. summer nor'easter, of course, slide off coastline allowing high pressure to build in tomorrow and into monday and that means that we wi
