we saw flooding earlier this morning here in ocean city. you can see from the barricades set up right down the street from where i am. take a look at video we got earlier in margate as well. this is minor tidal flooding. we're expecting flooding of greater concern tomorrow morning. that is the one all eyes are on. the high tide tomorrow morning. the window right now is an issue. you can see behind me the trees blowing and it is causing issues right now. i checked with atlantic city electric right before i came on the air, 3,400 of its customers currently without power. there is some flooding going on right now on long beach, boulevard, in long beach island. police urging people to stay off of that and to avoid that high water and also i checked in with cape may's fire chief a few minutes ago and he said the winds are causing debris to blow on the road. be mindful of that right now during these high winds we're seeing at the jersey shore. live in ocean city, i'm ted greenberg, nbc10 news. >> weather conditions from this storm will be changin

here's look at ocean city. you ready for some snow? well it's on the way.eorologist kathy orr is going to tell us all about it in just 15 seconds. >> okay. here we go again. but this time we're talking about a major east coast snowstorm. this is going to be a heavy wet snow that will be moving in late tomorrow night and into wednesday and guess who is going to see a good deal of that snow possible al foot of snow in the poconos, of course. where we want it. the temperature is 42 degrees. the wind out of the north northwest at 16 miles an hour. the gusts have pretty much calmed down. temperatures still in the 30s. some 40s. 42 in philadelphia. 42 in wilmington. 40 in dover. and you can see on ultimate doppler the beginning of the first snowstorm. this is one part of an area of low pressure that's over the northern plains bringing winter storm warnings and blizzard conditions to this area. it's going to continue to move through the great lakes. the midwest into western pa and then redevelop off the coast of mid atlantic. meteorologically we call ace in hiller

you're looking at ocean city, new jersey, where it is definitely the calm before the storm tonight. first alert radar shows this major coastal storm churning towards us. so let's get right to chief meteorologist tammy sousa for more. >> you'll have a little bit of time tomorrow to prepare or do a built of running around. friday frankly you shouldn't go out unless you absolutely have to anywhere across the area. downed trees and power lines from the high winds. this is on friday mainly. coastal roads could be flooded. that's going to be on friday night into saturday. and we're going to see periods of heavy rain starting tomorrow, late in the day through friday morning. and then we're going to see heavy mountain snow. some of that could drift over to the lehigh valley. these are the impacts you're going to be facing between tomorrow night and early on saturday. everything is quiet on the doppler radar right now, but that is not going to stay. we have a little wave going past us. what we're watching is this big wave right down here. it's going to move past the area brvyng rain and poun
