susan, the prosecution showed hernandez's phone records from the days that were surrounding odin lloyd'st stood out to you? >> reporter: i'll tell you one thing that stood out. there were a lot of text messages. we also learned something about who saves text messages the company in question here sprint testified that because there are so many of them the system can't handle it and so they actually do not preserve text messages that you and i send that we all send. so unless you happen to save it you don't get it. now, in this case the prosecutors had some of these text messages because they were able to seize the telephones involved. otherwise, they might not have some of these. but anyway yes, we did learn a lot about from these text messages some of what transpired on the noit that odin lloyd was murdered. here is an example of a text message that was sent from aaron hernandez to earnest wallace in the hours leading up to odin lloyd's murder. this was sent at 9:02 p.m. and hernandez says to wallace, please make it back because i'm def trying to step for a little. he says get your -- up

that victim, odin lloyd. so tomorrow, the plan is for the injury to leave that jury box and load the bus and head to where the former patriot allegedly shot and killed his friend. but then they'll also go to hernandez's home where they will be near to something very different from other people's homes. a trophy case. prosecutors have said they're kind of worried about that. that the trophies could manipulate the jury in some way. make them think something about hernandez that they may not think about other defendants in that chair. guys, this is always a huge issue in court when there's a case, are they even allowed to go on these jury go-sees. are you surprised? >> you know, i am. the judge and i were having this discussion just before we came on air. i would not have allowed it for a number of reasons. the critical issue is, is this where the crime occurred? if it didn't, how relevant is it to any issue. and how more or less likely is it for the injury to decipher whether he murdered him or not. at the end
