this is the kind of thing being battled an ohio. ve. it notes that there is an auto industry presence in 80 of the 88 counties in ohio. overall, one in eight jobs in the state is tied directly or indirectly to the auto industry. down from one in five a decade ago. we of the auto issue. what else tops the list? guest: is not as big, but it has some importance in the map of ohio. that is the energy issue. particularly coal. those issues play. and it takes it back into what it described earlier, the foothills of the appalachia. mitt romney has run commercials on their targeting it, trying to portray president obama as someone who will hurt the coal country because of its emphasis and aide to alternative energy, solar and other things. the energy issue has had little bubble here in ohio, perhaps more than some of the other areas because of the coal, we also have the natural gas, for lacking is a big issue as a backdrop and the state. i think people are primed to talk about energy. host: talk to us about the mechanics of voting. early vot

that's an advantage of more than 200,000 votes in ohio right now, 20% of the vote is in. t's move on. remember, 18 electoral votes at stake in ohio. missouri, 10 electoral votes, only 1% of the vote is in. very, very early, romney leads 68% to 30%, very early in missouri. let's move on to new hampshire. four electoral votes. 63% for president obama, 35% so far for mitt romney but remember, very early, 5% of the vote is in. alabama, only a tiny number of votes in. 1%. 81% for mitt romney, 19% for president obama very early. new jersey, 54% for mitt romney with 1% of the vote in. very, very early in new jersey. barack obama with 43% but new jersey, that vote is very, very early. let's take a look at the national popular vote right now, where it stands. 5% of that vote is now in. mitt romney maintains an advantage, 52%. you just saw it change to 47%. 8,667,000 votes for romney right now nationally to president obama's 7,800,000 votes. that's an advantage of almost 800,000 popular votes but only 5% of the popular vote has been counted so far. let's go to john king. we're watch
