as i mentioned accompanying president wilson and one of wilson's walking sticks here on the front of s street. isaac here with his wife mary. and mary served as the cook here in the house. and they lived on the fourth floor of the house. our curator john powell has done a lot of great work in the lives of isaac and mary scott. they actually had been -- brought to the white house by edith wilson and worked at the white house. and then here to s street and stayed with edith wilson until she bought them a home in the 1950s. so actually stayed here on s street. here in the kitchen in the house, again, state-of-the-art for 1920. in the pantry you can still see some of the early packaging. campbell's soups and kellogg's products. bottle of tobasco and heinz catchup and maxwell house coffee on the range there. this was, again, a modern house when it was built in 1915. again, always electrified. always had a modern heating system. oh, an old steam coal fired steam boiler system, and we still use these old radiator, today. part of our modernization that we are envisioning for the centennial is

over 85% of the s&p 500 has been trading lower, the components of the s&p 500.daq and s&p with the sell-off today, now in danger of breaking their five-week win streak. up to this point, it looked like we were going to be up for the week, but now that's in danger. let's start with the market that's been the key all week, the euro. it rallied as there were expectations that we were going to see -- weekly charts obviously -- expectations we would see some resolution of the greek debt crisis, now back down again on the euro. the price of gold has acted like a risk asset this week. it's been keying off the euro as well. we had a pretty good rally earlier in the week. now we're down to $1721. many traders are watching that $1710 level as support. we'll have to wait to see next week what it does with that. oil has been very interesting. our market here in new york, wti crude, approached the $100 a barrel level, failed to get above that. and has pulled back today. more interesting has been the brent crude contract in london. that has just been bulling an eight-day rall

third, another death cross in early july of 2010, this one fooled people. it didn't work. instead the s actually rallied 118 points from the july 1st low before we saw a bit of a decline but not enough to take out the previous low. so in this case, listening to the death cross didn't pay off. fourth, in october 2010, we got the latest golden cross. it was golden, too, followed by a beautiful run that lasted until may of 2011. that was a rally about 190 points. in other words, last golden cross was really dispositive, right? and then fifth, we got hit with the death cross in the middle of last august, which was eventually followed by a substantial decline into the october lows. the s&p traded sideways before that happened. i have to tell you, this was a great call. this was a great call and so this was not a great call, but i've got to tell you, man, four out of five, monster calls. four out of five ain't bad in terms of accuracy. it seems poised for pretty healthy crossover. if the 50-day does keep breaking out then they think we could see much, much higher prices for the s&p 500. howev
