the media watchdog, ofcom, says there has been a record decline in the number of people watching traditionalr percentage points from 2021. let's talk to our culture reporter guy lambert. just talk us through the findings. there are lots of statistics and data in this report, but the general overview is that there is, on average, a decline in consumption of broadcast tv. amongst the public, that is. like you say, it is 83%, down to 79. it is only four points, but it might not seem that significant, but in that number, there are more significant full. tv amongst the public, for example, it was two hours and 59 minutes. now it is two hours 38. is 20 minutes per day less, a 12% drop. the most interesting figures amongst us are at both ends of age spectrum. it is properly not surprising to see that teenagers, and young adults are consuming last broadcast tv, and are moving over to streaming services, but since 2014, that drop has been at 73%, quite significant. at the other end of the over 65. a more traditional demographic, more faithful to public service broadcasters, but year on year, we have
