now, regarding the status of our officer involved shooting investigations. as you have seen, from the materials with you, and there are currently, 20 open officer involved shooting investigations in various stages. and three cases were closed last week and that does not include, the three cases that were completely closed and finished out all documentation completed since the last time that i presented and not counting those and they will not appear on the lists except to show as a closed case, three new cases did open and one, 14, 002, occurred on the 4th of february. and 14003 occurred on the 8th of march and 14004 occurred on the 21st of march and i will get into those more but you have been briefed on some of these. 5 cases have active very active criminal or administrative components of the investigations at this point. and in one case we have received the charging decision letters from the da's office. that has been for the homicide, homicide actually completed their investigation, now, and that is with our office and so we are going to be able to wrap

we do to better train our officers. so there is an element of what we want. it's not just a matter of one officer did it wrong but it's also taking a look at the policy. one thing i also tend to think about when i hear this report is we hear the cases that were adjudicated in 1/4 and listening to them, this doesn't sound like san francisco's finest. it's not the worst that we have heard, during the same quarter, is a quarter three 3 months? i'm not a math person. how many calls per service? >> using last year, it was somewhere around 300,000 calls for service. around 75 thousand people arrested and around 8,000 citations given out a month. so you hear of 6-8 complaint sustained against those in usb that i just gave you that are contacts. >> you did a great job of illustrating where we need to do more work and that helps with the scope and scale where the progressive scope is working and we are not repeating the same behavior and there are a number of interactions where we are not getting complaints and also because you

my next item is to talk about our mod office. i wanted to provide a brief update on the remodeling work at our office at 1155 market street. awe you know we've been at the center of an active construction site for most of the last year. our building facade has scaffold which makes it difficult for people to find us. we had a construction barrier out front which made it difficult for people who are blind and low vision to navigate around that and our lobby had a construction did you -- tunnel in place. it hasn't been very easy on us this last year. we had to move out of our office because we got dusted out because of construction work and we got to listen to jack hammers and screw guns and contractors talking and it made it really hard to have phone conversations and talk with our clients. the really great news is that this month, last week, it's done.
