we have a system offshore.t looks pretty impressive on the satellite view, so you take into account where it is headed. it is moved off to the north and away from the bay area in terms of the rain-producing part. this is going to head up towards oregon but it will spill some clouds our way and bring us a bit of a cooldown into monday. the storm track, al b al ba alb closer. as we go into the day monday through tuesday, no rain; in fact, it won't be until wednesday and thursday that we see a chance of some showers. you can see the low clouds coming back to the coast in addition to the high clouds moving over the bay area tomorrow. it's not so late tomorrow into the evening that we'll see the clearing. so it's going to run a bit clearer with the sea breeze and the clouds, and tuesday winds turn offshore again, and we could very well see a pattern just like we saw today, those temperatures warming up maybe close to 70 again by wednesday. so for tomorrow morning, we'll see 30s and 40s, patchy low clouds and some fo

clear and breezy this morning with a slight offshore flow. the winds will settle down this afternoon with slightly warmer temperatures expected as the storm track stays to our north through the week. we'll see a weak system drift across the area monday night into tuesday i. will bring a few more clouds into the region but that's about it. other than maybe a drop or drizzle at the coast we're not expecting any measurable rain at this time. we'll continue high and dry throughout northern california here today. especially in the bay area, more low 70s popping up in the north bay as well as the south bay with upper 60s even back at the water itself. so another warm day ahead as we see the 7 day forecast keeps you very sunny here through midweek when we see that slight chance of an offshore breeze returns to the area by the end of the week. conditions remain dry for the foreseeable future, there's a long shot of showers appearing again by sunday but at this point, it's very slight chance of any rain at that time. we'll keep you postlude the week.

i'm for offshore wind, but not on top of my car. i think we have to realize it -- back to the question about the webb-warner bill -- i do want us to be able to drill off the atlantic coast. we need to use all of our resources in america as we do not have to depend on dictators around the world for oil. a little bit of an offshore wind reaching the napa valley.r towards fairfield, probably have to watch out for patchy fog tomorrow morning. san jose 45 degrees. santa cruz 48. the story tonight is really two types of weather patterns in our inland north bay and east bay valleys, we don't have a lot of wind. down right chilly in the 30s. in the hilltops we could see numbers in the 50s tonight. in the north bay, it's going to be cold. could see patchy fog towards santa rosa and out near fairfield. in the hills, the winds 15 to 30 miles per hour around places east of fremont at this hour. for sunday, dry and mild thanks to the offshore winds as the air goes from the higher elevations down to sea level. that's going to warm up the air and dry it out. areas south of san jose could see upper 60s for the first day of january. tomorrow, we have a spare the air day due to the poor air quality level. not enough wind to stir things up here. right now, mainly clear skies. one i'm we'll have to watch will be the fog trying to drift back towards the bay. it

you can see the winds, everything coming offshore, and as that wind drops down to sea level from offshore, that's going to warm things up a little bit for tomorrow. now, we've simply run out of days for december, and look at our rain totals for the month, less than about a quarter inch for the entire area. it's been a very dry month. san francisco probably if you go back for the rest of the bay area this is really the third driest december on record at 0.14 inches. oakland set an all-time record, in 1989 we simply didn't have any rain in december. no rain for new year's eve, a little chilly. we will see breezy conditions in the hills along with high clouds. but the storm track continues to stay off tolt north with high pressure holding its position off the central california coast. no rain for us, just the slight chances of showers here in the north coast. but with the dry air below it's really going to eat up the raindrops around sonoma so i think it will be just mendocino county northward that may see sprinkles monday. tonight, 40s to some 50s in the hills, look at these temperatures to

most of the rain has moved offshore. i will add the clouds to show you there is sunshine and the picture this afternoon. west of the potomac river, sunshine is breaking through. here's a look at the forecast now. as far as the protest is concerned, this afternoon, temperatures will start losing ground and overnight tonight, temperatures will drop down into the 30's. partly cloudy skies. sandy point, we begin to increase the clouds in the afternoon. it looks like the air temperatures will be in the 40's into the upper 40's for highs during the afternoon. there will be a south the breeze at that time. it will make it feel more like the 30's. we don't have precipitation in tomorrow's forecast. we are talking about the plungers and we're looking at tim tooten here. what is happening? >> we have over 3000 students this year, double last year's amount. i am not exactly a student aid is for a good cause, to raise money for the maryland special olympics. the idea is to go in and support your school. a lot of competition this yea

we are looking at that offshore flow.ay of this dominant ridge before the ridge begins to break on down. so with that today we are looking at the numbers mainly in the 60s and 70s across the state, with nearly 50 in the sierra nevada. 52 in the southern sierra and 62 fresno. more 70s here with no fog at all. it will be a mild afternoon with temperatures as much as 10 degrees above the average. so tomorrow when we get that wind shift, it's this system that's going to try to move a little bit closer to the coast. but it's not really going to make it. we will see some extra clouds. high and mid-level clouds throughout the afternoon tomorrow and then by the overnight hours we are a little bit warmer due to the cloud level. we will see the mid-level clouds and some high level clouds in the morning. but through the overnight hours it's mainly in sonoma and heads to the delta. we will look for conditions to improve and see better visibility when that weak front passes through. then the skies clear and we will be back to a sunny

this area of high pressure bringing us the dry offshore flow.don't have any fog, dry air in place and it's 9 degrees this morning in the northern sierra. that is how cold it is but by later on today, upper 40s. 70 at our coast. 78 in los angeles. this next weather system will bring us an onshore flow tomorrow. that will increase clouds late in the afternoon. that is about the only change. numbers may come down 2-3 degrees. then later on in the evening hours with that onshore flow, increasing clouds and the possibility of maybe a few sprinkles as we head toward early monday morning. 2:00 monday morning, there is the rain line. it looks impressive but looking what happens as we go through the next couple of hours. it falls apart. by 9:00 after the morning commute we are back into sunny conditions. as for today, offshore flow and mild afternoon again with upper 60s in the south end of the bay and down by the monterey bay, once again the possibility of a few 70s from santa cruz to salinas. seven-day forecast once again about 5-10 degrees above avera

it's going to go offshore right along the coast.igh pressure is stuck on the west coast and another one will follow behind it and it will give us clouds and some cooler temperatures. 30 in santa rosa and a few upper 20s and 34 in concord and livermore and even 37 in san rafael, there are some cold numbers out there. 38 at the oakland airport. it is beginning to move south and it's very weak and if we get anything, any rain it will be very light. probably favoring anything closer to the coast, the system will fall apart as it slides south and heads off to southern california until maybe sunday. which in turn will give us a northeast breeze tomorrow. temperatures will come down, we will have morning sun increasing clouds, light rainier the coast but the doubt it happens. upper 60s and clouds are moving to the north bay first and more sunshine towards the south bay. temperatures do come down a little bit with a hint of cloud cover and we have knocked it down a few degrees on these temperatures. mostly sunny thursday and your weekend lo

most of the precipitation is moving offshore. we could pick up some sprinkles along the lower eastern shores. as soon as we get the wind to pick up, it will make some sunshine and it will turn out to be a nice day. 43 at the airport. 38 in parkton. everybody is above freezing. we'll start out with low clouds and fog. sunshine will break through. high temperatures in the low 50's. this is the coldest part of the winter for us. this will be nice. mostly clear tonight. tomorrow will be a nice day as well but a couple of degrees cooler. thickening clouds on thursday with a chance for rain late thursday and into friday morning. it will turn cold this weekend. 6:15. let's check the roads with sarah. >> tracking one accident of note. we have fog warnings on 95 up to the delaware state line. southbound 95, there is an accident we are tracking. 51 on southbound 97. problem free over towards the harrisburg expressway from the towson region. the j.f.x. looking pretty good. fog is an issue on the west side. 795 looks ok out of owings mills.

there is 150 grand jury investigations going on right now about offshore banking.r from last year, where ubs paid $800 million because of the scams taking place. not to talk about this ed, is like having a white elephant sitting in the living room. let me say this. offshore banking originated when organized crime tried to avoid letting us know what was going on with them. you will not find anybody in america who will come on television and tell you that there is any reason at all for having offshore banking except for several reasons. one is avoid taxes, you want to avoid taxes. the other is to camouflage who you're doing business with, ed. understand, the money is not put in a bank. it's not -- the money is not in a bank. it's sitting in investment funds. so the question then becomes who is his partner in the investment fund? who is he doing business with? understand, this is a man who has been in politics a long time. what if there is some type of political connection between the investment fund and a favor that he did for somebody when he was in politics before.

an offshore wind blowing around the bay area but we have a chance of rain in the forecast. we will tell you about that coming up.

we have big storms offshore. storms that are fanning big waves to the coast. that out at mavericks. but again with high pressure, deflecting the storms off to the north. just can't break through. see breezy conditions tomorrow. not as windy as today. but fire danger for this weekend. still, unfortunately. high. obviously with the dry air filtering into the bay area. see cold morning lows. in fact monday morning. likely could see lows in the upper 20s to low 30s. once chance of showers in for tuesday. main leap missing the bay area. the seep yar ra. this is around lunchtime tuesday. the first time we have seen this in a while. may pick up a couple inches of snow. elevation above 5,000 feet. so dry. talk what we can get. unfortunately as long as they drop up over and over the bay area. tend to be dry. knock down the temperatures a few degrees. high temperatures drop back in. tuesday into wednesday. tomorrow morning should be chilly. if the winds back off in your neighbor tonight. may see the numbers in the 30s. most of the valleys tomorrow morning. we head towar
