when you look at the ohio valley and then you start to see high pressure here, more centered over albuquerqueallas taken to the west coast. obviously. seattle's cool. that's where low pressure is. we're starting to warm and that is where high pressure is going to be building. and but today, not bad, as you can see where, you know, 83 degrees in saratoga. we're and some nice comfortable temperatures around the rest of the day. but we do have a heat advisory is going to kick in as we get into tomorrow. so if you are in the east bay, the south we're looking out for that tomorrow throughout the day and then also into the evening. but thursday is going to the heat of it. and in particular thursday for the north bay and also down on the peninsula and bayside. that's we're going to see some of those temperatures really sort right now. we're already starting to see the influence of high pressure as we have those blue skies that are out there. if we take a look from the east bay, you can see it's again, the lovely day out there. take berkeley as an example today looking upper 70's tomorrow, mid 80's.

cool with a low pressure is influencing the forecast there in the ohio valley to the east coast. little bit high pressure here. and of course, we move to the west coast kind of interesting because seattle rather cool today, low pressure dominating their forecast. we're starting to warm up and getting lots of sunshine right now at about 84 degrees in saratoga. in antioch, you can see 73 in oakland, some 80's up in the north bay, but it's all about the heat advisory that's going to kick in as we get into tomorrow. and that is because that high pressure is going continue to dominate. and we're going to see temperatures start to soar very above average for october. but having said that, if you lived in the day any amount of time, you know, october can kind of be our wildcard month with this. right now. a little bit relay are hanging off the coast there. but for the most part, we've got those blue skies out there as we take a live look from the east talk about berkeley's forecast where today in the 70's. but tomorrow looking out for mid 80's. and then this is the peak of the heat for

parts of the ohio valley as they have a very potent low pressure system that is delivering incrediblyvy snow and boy, some cold temperatures right now. you can see in chicago's 37 degrees. 36 in minneapolis. 37 in omaha, you see 20's up in my not so a big dip there in the jet stream allowing that cold air to spill in. meanwhile, on the west coast, we're actually above average. you can see la sitting at 80 degrees right now. 73 in sacramento. and as we take a little stroll around the bay area, lots of 70's out there, including out of half moon bay at 73 degrees right now because of that offshore flow that's allowing that warm up to happen again today. 75 in berkeley right now. 75 in petaluma and again out of the coast point rays. 73 degrees right now. so looking pretty good. lots of blue skies out there, too. you can see from san francisco to half moon bay right across the east bay and right, of course, to the golden gate. we're looking pretty good. i can tell you san jose, sunny to that camera just decided to drop out on me tonight. the temperatures are going to be great for trick or

effects of what happens here is you get a wetter southern tier kind of drier areas in parts of the ohio valleyd then if you look to the northern tier, you get warmer temperatures. but we zoom into northern california and you may notice that we are kind of sandwiched between those 2 things, right? so the pacific northwest gets one thing. southern california, another and we kind of split the middle here. so the question will be, what will this el nino bring for us and the answer? of course, we'll have to wait to find out. but we do know that we've already had a little bit of rain here in october. a santa rosa just over half an inch. you can still see. obviously, we do get some rain in october. if you look at climatology, so about what's called 63% of normal at this point, 33 in san francisco, oakland, about 18% san jose did just get a trace out of this last one. so still not sitting really to see much. our water year starts october first. so it's just the beginning. and we do have 2 fronts they're set to track through as we get into the next week here. so the first one coming our way on wednesda

you can see a little bit drier and spaces like the ohio valley and then warmer in that northern tier, including the pacific northwest. but as we kind of zoom in here, you see where we are in a little bit of a predicament because we're not exactly in the place for either of those things. we are between them. so that's why el nino, in my opinion, gets a little tricky when you're talking bay area weather, but certainly southern california looking out for weather can petition z warmer conditions put to the north of us, especially for friends up in spaces like seattle and portland. meanwhile, as far as concerned, this is what we've got. we just started our water year, october first that we kind of begin to measure the new water year. obviously, this weekend's rain was basically what we've got so far, right. so you can see at about 63% of normal right now in santa rosa, about 33% in san francisco, oakland, 18%. san jose just got a little bit of a trace of rain there. so still not a whole lot. so, you know, this is pretty usual for us to start to see these patterns rolling as we get into our
