rio..... the u-s olympic committee says it happened in rio de janeiro sunday morning. the four u-s athletes were in a taxi that was pulled over by robbers posing as police. lochte says the robbers ordered everyone to get to the ground. he says he initially refused....but one of the robbers then put a gun to his forehead. the attackers took the athletes' wallets and cellphones, but no one was injured. also... a tornado ripped through sunday afternoon as parts of the country continue to experience extreme weather. this timelapse video was captured by karen madrigal from her 39th floor apartment in the binondo district. madrigal said she was "terrified" by the twister and that she plans to stay indoors with her family until the weather improves. and.. this video shows a last-minute rescue during the flooding in baton rouge saturday. they tried to break a car window, but they couldn't. so one of the rescuers jumped into the water and pulled her out....just before her car went under. that's when told the rescuer that her dog was still in the vehicle. other emergency respond

laura: the rio olympic games are in full tilt in brazil, where some of the best athletes in the world have achieved greater success, while others have fallen off in dramatic fashion. the bbc's covering events throughout the games and a short time ago i spoke with our correspondent in rio. the american swimmer michael phelps gets a 19th medal. what is the reaction in rio? julia: well, laura, i think more amazement at michael phelps' performance and his career. it is really his comeback after having announced his retirement after london 2012, and then having a difficult couple of years. you may remember he was caught drinking and driving a couple of times, and it wasn't very clear when he announced he was coming back to the olympics, coming back to rio, a bit of a surprise. it was amazing to see him get yet another medal. his world record in medals is far beyond previous records. we will probably see him collect perhaps even more. today there was lots of attention to the men's synchronized diving that just finished, and we have seen a g.b. team get the bronze. lots of expectation on the
