omar villafranca reports. >> reporter: 33-year-old justin ross harris is accused of the unthinkable -- murdering his 22-month-old son by leaving him strapped inside a hot suv for seven hours. police say harris and his son, cooper, stopped at a fast food restaurant the morning of june 18th. he was supposed to drop the boy off at daycare but instead went straight to work. >> i'm not sure how someone could forget that they've got a child in the back seat. >> reporter: dale hamilton was there later that afternoon when harris pulled his car into a nearby parking lot and started screaming for help. little boy was dead. >> he was constantly saying what have i done, what have i done. >> reporter: but this may not be a case of a forgotten child. a new arrest warrant says harris returned to his car at lunch time and put something inside it while the child was strapped in his car seat. county police released a statement saying the chain of events in this case do not point toward simple negligence. legal experts say the evidence supporting that would have to be very strong. >> perhaps being tinto

as omar villafranca reports, safety procedures were not followed. >> reporter: as many as 75 scientistseing monitored for possible exposure to live anthrax bacteria. it happened earlier this month at the cdc's laboratories in atlanta. researchers were transferring what they thought were inactive samples to a lab not equipped to handle live anthrax. the proper protocol was not followed. >> i think their chances of actually getting sick from this exposure are extremely low. and that's very fortunate. >> reporter: some of the scientists were given antibiotics as a precaution. anthrax can affect the skin, lungs and gastrointestinal tract and can be deadly. that's why scientists need to study it. >> anthrax is a germ that obviously causes infections and is a potential bioterrorism agent. so learning more about how it actually causes the disease and how we might prevent the disease in outbreak circumstances is of course very important. >> reporter: the cdc said, "cdc continues its internal review to determine why validated procedures were not used by the lab. given that cdc protocols were not

omar villafranca with more on the medical treatment bergdahl will receive while he is in san antonio.er: the military plane carrying sergeant bowe bergdahl landed this morning in san antonio. the next phase of bergdahl's recovery takes place at the brooke army medical center in san antonio. teams have been preparing to help the 28-year-old with his return to society. that includes psychological treatment. he will also have access to a lawyer if he wants one and he will eventually be reunited with his family. but there won't be any reunions until doctors here in texas believe bergdahl is ready. psychologists say timing is crucial. >> bringing him home, getting him off the plane and then turning him to his family would be too much at one time. >> reporter: bergdahl was freed less than two weeks ago in exchange for five taliban prisoners at guantanomo bay. the swap sparked controversy. several soldiers who served with bergdahl claim the army sergeant deserted his post in afghanistan. officials say bergdahl could spend weeks, possibly months, receiving treatment before returning home to i
