omar villafranca has the latest. omar. >> this started after 4:00 p.m. when two dallas police officers went no the home keep owe behind me. they came face-to-face with a known suspect they were apparently keeping an eye on and shots rang out. from what with understand two dallas police officers, a male and female, after gun shots were taken to the hospital in critical condition. a third person was shot. we understand it's a civilian. we don't know if it's a male or female and don't know their conditions. still an active scene here. plenty of police officers have blocked off the area. we see fire fighters around here acting as paramedics in case anyone needs help here. there were helicopters and they searched the area, from what we understand, police were looking for the suspect in the creek behind the home deep oh, trying to see if the suspect was there. they told us they're looking for a possible get away vehicle, a white pickup truck. we don't know if the suspect has been caught or not. when we find out more information we will let you know. >> glor: a

here's omar villafranca. >> reporter: 27-year-old rogelio santander, a three-year veteran of the dallasice department, was shot tuesday afternoon when officers tried to arrest 29- year-old armando juarez on an outstanding warrant. police say juarez shot santander, his partner, crystal almeida, and a home depot loss prevention officer. both of them are still in critical condition. >> this is going to be a trying time for us, so we're just asking for your support during this time. >> reporter: after a frantic five-hour manhunt and car chase, cops finally caught him. juarez is now sitting in jail. omar villafranca has more. good morning. >> good morning.he suspect had an outstanding warrant for felony theft when officers approached him inside the home depot. and after the shooting, one of the many cameras in the parking lot spotted him leaving in a white pickup truck. after frantically searching nearby neighborhoods and a creek bed, police caught up with him ten miles away. >> reporter: behind the wheels of awe white pickup truck, investigators say armando sped through neighborhoods as he was chased by an army of police tuesday night. >> a white truck currently shooting at officers. >> reporter: he drove across grass fields and eventually juarez crashed on a dead end street where he and a female passenger were taken into custody. it ended a five-hour shoot-out. following a shoot-out at a home depot. the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. when police were called by home depot. shortly after dallas police officers arrived, juarez allegedly opened fire. >> it was about seven shots that we heard. i seen two officers down. >> reporter: dal
