effort is under way this evening off the coast of south korea where a ferry with almost 500 people on board sank. the ferry was on it way to the resort island which is south korea's most southern island. that's when something went wrong and the ferry sent out a disstress call saying it was in danger of sinking. the boat then turned upside down. among the passengers 200 students. the rescue operation is still under way. however at this point it is not clear what has happened to the other 300 people on board. the ferry was traveling in heavy fog and reports are that it may have hit a reef. >>> here in the bay area, there were frightening moments this evening for two people on board of a single engine plane. it was forced to make an emergency landing. it happened at 7:00 in a field east of livermore and not far from the lawrence livermore lab. neither of the two people on board the cessna 152 was injured. no damage to the aircraft was reported. it appear it is plane ran out of gas. the faa is currently investigating the incident. >>> investigators say the apartment building fire likely started
