join me on my toronto, canada, southern ontario adventure. located in ontario, canada's second-largest province, toronto is the country's most populous metropolis. for a unique perspective on the city, i begin my explorations at the cn tower, one of the world's tallest. ever since it was completed in 1974, the 1,800-foot cn tower has been a major toronto attraction. with its revolving restaurant, observation deck, now they've taken things almost over the edge, literally. before i can walk, possible fall objects like watches, coins, and rings must be left behind. and since hanging out 116 stories above the ground is thrilling enough, i'm also screened for narcotics and alcohol. besides my pants, the only thing i can take out on the edge is glasses. harnessed and strapped in, my next stop is the great outdoors. >> come on out, joseph. all right. there you go. whoo! welcome out. so, guys, i'd like to welcome you out to the edge walk. you are currently 356 meters above the earth. >> 1,000 feet? >> 1,168 feet, to be precise. i'm not sure if it loo

it is from ontario, circa 1890. it closed in 1978, and frank union, an apprentice in the shop, bought it in 1880. there's an ad for the sign of the big book that appeared in the weekly herald in 1891. this is an open cross from branford, ontario. this could work well with our vermont members recently as well because it shows cows. clocks with animal images are rare in ontario stoneware production, but the cows put a vision classified itself. at the exhibition, this crock awarded first prize for the best assortment of stoneware. this is a temple holder. it is from ontario, the maker was alex, made about 1940. it was a scolding wren and they say that this is a small, but practical pencil holder. it's interesting because the maker, alex cuppage was african-canadian, and had various shops following the years of world war ii. these are portable musical scales from southwestern on ontario, probably devised by a teacher or musician, a portable roll, scales arranged in vertical columns, and it dates to the last quarter of t

you may be seeing temperatures dip down into the teens into the midpart of the teens into southern ontario. now over towards europe, the big topic here is this high pressure dominating. you can see very little cloud cover just due to that suppressing anything from popping up out here. we have one area that is going to be producing some thunderstorms. this low pressure area, very mature and intense one coming onshore in the british isles. across ireland into scotland, this frontal area pushing through. also bringing in warmer temperatures ahead of it. into london, above average temperatures going into your friday. but then it's going to start to cool off after this pushes by. still it's going to bring that risk of severe weather, even large hail, damaging winds. as it moves by, that cooler air starts to dip in from the north. things are going to cool off. out ahead of it, it's going to get hot. this seesaw effect, roller coaster of the temps. high of 30. friday 32. dropping rate down to 23. london at 31. that drops do to 25. paris, you are going to be seeing similar conditions going into yo
