they were wrapping shooting on the gettysburg movie in august of 1992. .ook this picture the rinne is redoing the fighting and devil's den. thehe reenactors redoing fighting at devil's den. i think i took this picture on an old self timer. tim and i spent countless hours coming up with our treatment of this. we wrote the manuscript in 1996. eventually we had the manuscript published in 1997. we continue to hang around on the battlefield giving devil's den tours. we do it to this day. gibsonps in the -- rob took this photo. went through bunch of reprinting's. we kept getting as many pictures as we could. the various colors of clothing. two companies left behind at devil's den trying to fight against the confederates. is when vandals pulled the top off of smith's battery. attached it to a car, yanked it off. monument vandalism is as old as monuments themselves and no one has condoned it. this is not how to express how you feel about something. the gettysburg foundation would make it an incentive to improve devil's den. you're going to have another 14,000 copies or so at that point. book
