that's ophelia. so that's the one we're watching. it was upgraded to a hurricane overnight. it is south of bermuda. category 2 right now at the 5:00 update. ophelia is going to track out to the open waters, which is good news. so no threat to the u.s. actually, none of the storms in the tropics are a threat to the u.s. that is certainly good news there. but for us, for the rest of us on the east coast, we are dealing with another cold front. you can see it clearly here. that is moving out of the midwest and off to the northeast. for the northeast, we have one more front to go. this will knock out that hot, sticky air. already seeing a dip in the humidi humidity. as this front moves through, it will be a little less potent than yesterday. yesterday, we had storms through the i-95 corridor. we won't see that much today. could have a scattered shower here or there. for the most part, it's dry. we'll just have the clouds around. it's warm once again. once that front pushes through, we will see a big dip in the temperatures. you can already notice that cool air. there's the leadi

ophelia on one side, phillippe. ophelia may fluctuate, it may thread the gap between bermuda and the eastern seaboard. we'll watch it very carefully but for now it doesn't pose a threat. that's good news. same deal for phillippe. winds expected to intensify as we get into tuesday, category 1 hurricane. then as it moves farther north into the atlantic should begin to weaken into friday with winds of 65 miles an hour. these are some of the biggest rainmakers on the planet. this is one we could have in parts of the midwest, but in the upper midwest and rockies very dry conditions in helehelena, montana. very close to austin, texas and travis county. that's one area to be concerned for. as we wrap up, we're talking about the potential for flooding in places i would say like missouri, into southern illinois. we've had heavy rainfall moving through this area throughout the morning. could see more into the afternoon. so keep that in mind. we've already had threats of flooding in parts of pennsylvania just yesterday. >>> t.

that was ophelia. wanted to mention this. you can see that moisture moving up towards the carolinas, that set the stage yesterday for some areas in carolina to pick up over three inches of rainfall an hour. when you talk about hurricane hilary, still a major hurricane off the central mexico coastline. it's likely to weaken. it's expected to turn north. some of the moisture it's been churning off the pacific could get into the four corners by this coming weekend and the coming week. that could have some impacts. texas today likely on the quieter side of things. a few light shower here's and there. back towards the gulf coast, we have a frontal boundary associated with this system that may trigger a few showers. some areas that saw showers early this morning likely settling down now. closer to the north, we have had some heavy showers towards louisville. there have been a couple water rescues reported this morning. be careful commuting from central kentucky back up to ohio. rainfall chances will be increasing even over towards
