newark. i'm not sure how anyone can get their cars out or drive down these side streets. we stopped down here to show you this view down the street and believe it or not this is one of the clearer roads here. now school is closed today. city hall closed and garbage we'll drive ahead for you. we are in a residential section of downtown newark. most of the main roadways are clearer. check out the side streets. many of them don't even look like they've seen a plow yet. you can see we're shaking a little bit because it also is pretty icy here. a woman stopped and was chatting with us, telling us it took her over on hour to get her car out. she had to get herself to work. further down is second and third street. there are a lot of elderly who live there that feel trapped because the roadways have not been plowed yet. maybe they saw one plow but then it snowed again. these roads are bad. to give you a sense of where we are, we're close to rutgers university. close to university hospitals. with the unplowed roads it would make it quite difficult it's difficult for even us to man

newark. passing the university of delaware sports complex here in a half mile or so, but, yeah, what we see areeople trying to get out, not heeding the warnings, and they get out in the sedan and realize quickly they are stuck. they are not going to get out of it. we're in a jeep wrangler. getting through it, but we had moments there where we thought we had to kick it in the low setting to see if we could get through because it was shimmying, swerving, pulled by the wind. up here, you can see, in fact, as you go to the stoplight there, a delldot plow truck is going through, they are fighting the good fight, 330 plows on the road right now. every time they plow, the wind are so strong, it's blown back on the main roads, meaning it drifts back on, and the plows can't take the to did off to the other roads, the smaller roads, so if you await them, check the deldot app to see where they are, but i promise you, they are not in your neighborhoods, not getting there because they have to keep doing the primary roads. we'll be in newark for a while, and some point in the next half hour, i want to go dow
