"there was an individual with 22 horses on her property, and they were in varying stages of neglect. some of them were near- starvation cases." officials say the homeowner couldn't afford to care for the animals and called for the help of animal control. one horse passed away shortly before animal control arrived. they had to euthanize two horses due to medical complications. elizabeth steed is treating four horses with rehabilitation feeding-- "for the first seven days, we feed these horses every three hours on the hour, morning noon and night. after seven days you're through your critical period." dream wranglers ranch in hollywood took two miniatures and will take three more horses this week. orangeburg police officers will soon have a new look. in a few weeks, they will start wearing body cameras. billie jean shaw shows us the new steps the department is taking. in a unanimous vote, orangeburg's city council approved the purchase of 80 body cameras. the gear can be worn on an officer's glasses, lapel, or chest and will record video and sound anytime an officer approaches a suspect. after each shift, officers will be required to dump the footage in a cloud, where officials will have access at all times. the cameras costs about 103-thousand dollars and are described as top of the line by chief mike adams. residents like daron parlor say he now feels "it's alot of crime going on in orangeburg county and we are trying to make sure we don't have any of that because the kids, kids walk around in the streets."
