in places like oregon where i think we will have a very strong victory.we've had our west in other places. there's 807 pledged delegates on the seventh of june, including california. we could be in a position to win across the board and california. and when a substantial victory a substantial victory and make up a lot of ground there. and caucus states. the caucus process is a living delegate calendar. it is as backloaded as the delegate allocation calendar is frontloaded. we are going to continue to win delegates in those processes. three or four there. you win for delegates and a state convention and your opponent, that is 8 delegates. that is how we are going to do it. in some places, a little at a time. and a couple of the days of voting, a lot of the time. john: answer the question -- every state i have seen so far when bernie sanders had time on the ground, he has closed the gap and won those states. here, he has not moved the needle in new york. why has the needle not moved more? tad: we will see how far the needle moves to drop. -- moves tomorrow.

but here's why the oregon antidote is so important. if there's a problem, our state gives voters more time to fight back. when americans have two or three weeks to vote, they'll have more time to challenge registration problems. there's more time for citizens to defend their rights. oregon has been voting by mail since i was first elected to the united states senate in 1996, and we went to all vote by mail in 2000. since then we have had consistently higher voting turnout rates than other parts of the country. we've consistently had voter turnout rates that are among the highest in the nation. oregon voting rates are especially high among young people and in midterm elections. and as an added benefit, this should appeal to all senators, studies have shown that it saves money to boot. so you have a system that voters like, gives them more time to reflect, is more efficient, and it saves money, to boot. that is a pretty appealing trifecta, it seems to me, for democracy. so my proposition today is the rest of the country ought to follow o

indiana, one, new mexico and oregon to the other is pretty easy.n it comes to california, which will be the definitive size, that's a congressional district, which will be much trickier for these two campaigns to pull off. >> do you see any reason for them not to continue this effort into california? >> no, lord, i hope they do. it gets much tougher though because you think about what are your decisions? you take the l.a. media mark and combine it up by congressional districts? how do you do that? you go on a television program in los angeles, you're reaching a lot of different congressional distric districts. nothing is him etricly sealed. so, it works better in theory than reality. but it still would be important to try to do. this is all about -- basic sense. >> and kasich says he's already been very successful in the delegate hunt in indiana already. so, he's not that much concerned with indiana because he has second ballot supporters lineered up there. >> good for him if that's actually true, the problem is you have to get to that second ballo
