so if you're leaving orinda, headed to oakland just before the caldecott tunnel, that's where you'll see a little bit of a slowdown, but certainly not what we saw the last few minutes or so. it was just a few minutes ago where these roadways reopened. from what we're hearing from police and from what we're hearing from the what we've been able to gather in our time out here, it looks like there was a white suv that was pulled over to the side of the road, and police officers had come out. chp officers had come out and make sure the roadway was closed. a back window of that white suv looks like it had holes in the glass, as if bullets had flown through. we also saw the front windshield of the car, also with some damage to it as well. we had seen that car drive off the freeway in an attempt to kind of reopen it back up to traffic. as it was driving off, we saw two people riding in there with an escort from chp. now, what we're told so far there are no injuries involved. so as far as we can tell, no one was actually hit by a bullet. but there was some damage to that car enough so that t

many homeowners in orinda are learning they're now in a very high hazard zone for wildfire risk.that's according to newly released maps coming from cal fire. i'm concerned about wildfire in general. and so i think that it's important that we all are aware and take the necessary steps to protect our community. in orinda, the red zone acreage has gone up from more than 2400 acres in 2011 to more than 5200 acres. we spoke to a few families who say the maps only add to what they already knew. wildfire risk here is high. definitely has a an extra little, little place in my heart to know that we have to deal with that now. cal fire rolled out these new fire risk assessment maps on monday. they include the bay area and the entire northern california coast in phase two. and the risk assessment is based on decades of fire behavior and weather data. just so much in the last couple of years, what we've experienced, but over the last 30 years, what these areas have experienced. the map is interactive, so you can search an address and see what zone it's in. and then there's an extra layer if
