joining us now, ed perks, chief investment officer and steve orth, equity cio at federated investors., you know it's been very low volume trade. it's been a little choppy but nonetheless here we are again. the mid-caps nasdaq and s&p sitting at or around record highs. steve, where do we go from here? >> we think we're going higher mandy. we think we're really about to break out here. the market has been sideways the last four or five months worried about things like the dollar u.s. interest rates, oil, earnings in the first quarter and the economy in the first quarter. all those things are now behind us. the oil is stabilizing, dollar is stabilizing, rates are stabilizing, bad economy is behind us. this earnings season has been forecast to be pretty poor. actually on average we're kind of beating reduced expectations. >> would you even say, steve, you're more bullish now than the last time you were on "power lunch." >> we are. we added to equities last week. we actually doubled our positions on overweights and we think between here and the end of the year markets don't go straight up.
