>> reporter: reggie, i just spoke with cal osha, starting the investigation. my photographer will zoom in here on the construction site. cal osha has not ordered the work site to be shut down, but no one now is working on the structure. it's really quiet out here in menlo park. this is a picture from firefighters capturing the scene after a beam suffered what's called a catastrophic failure. workers at the site say the two men worked forty feet high on facebook 21 before 5:30 last night, putting together the steel framing when that beam dropped about 20 feet, catching on to other parts of the construction, catapulting them to the ground. firefighters say the safety harnesses and rigging stopped the fall before hitting the grown. one in late 20s, other early 30s were taken to the hospital for pain. fire chief said it was miraculous they survived. cal osha said there's no previous incidents at the site and have six months to decide whether to issue a citation for this incident. live in menlo park, abc 7 news. >>> thank you, matt. a special meeting set for tomorr
