cal osha said many speed slides in california have 30 degree drops.30 degree dr -- 80 degree drop. it is all part of the investigation. there was an accident saturday, a boy careened out of the bottom trough during the grand opening of this water park. just the day before, cal osha gave the green light and issued a permit for the ride. after they said the water park owned by the city of dublin, corrected a long list of issues noted in an april inspection, including loose bolts at the base. they are zeroing in on now on what they say appear to be pooling or puddling of water in the trough at the bottom. >> because that may have contributed to the accident, so that's one of the things that they will be looking eight very, very closely. >> reporter: does that then apply to slides like the emerald plunge at other parks? >> you know, that's a great question and i have asked if there are other slides like this one at other parks in the state of california, and i'm waiting for a response. >> reporter: it's possible, then, that you'll have to look at water sl

cal-osha is leading the investigation into why the boy was ejected. they did an inspection in april before the park opened and say the slide had a total of 17 problems. but when the slide was inspected again on friday, they say it was ready to operate the next day. <"we are def looking at the water levels at the bottom of the trouf the configuration of the slide and of course that was reviewed before the slide opened toowe are looking into whether the inspection was up to par and there are corrections we need to make on our end as well."> ( averi ) the maker of the water slide reached out to kron four. they say these types of incidents are very rare and safety is their top priority. the slide will remain closed until the investigation is finished.
