and that county commission her to give that money back to the taxpayers of otero county. now we have this concern. advanced by the county commissioner in otero county. now for me, what i always have to look through the lens is, is this transaction in the best interest of taxpayers. in this particular concern, we got to wonder whether this has something to do with a personal agenda, and that's going to be part of the question, what drove this transaction, appropriate, legal, compliant, with all of our codes, procurement process and was it in the best interest of the taxpayers or is this a situation with waste in government. this audit, there has already been an audit on this election by a bipartisan panel, the question is, is it appropriate to spend another $50,000 to audit the election or personal agenda driving the decision? you have an attorney for the county who advised against it. and the commission certainly can act against its attorney's guidance but in this case, we're going to do a full and complete investigation to make sure note one dollar was misspent or spent w
