without a doubt our city it changed many lives for the better. the best evidence of our work are the 20,000 formerly homeless people, now living indoors independently and with social and emotional support that they need in our city or back in their hometowns. we have pioneered models of care but the navigation center, which in just nine months has successfully moved more than 250 people off the street and into healthier settings. but while we house and served homelessness unfortunate thousands of homeless unfortunately, they are replaced by new house listed people fall into homelessness for number of reasons and they need our help. last week i announced a goal to help at least 8000 people out of homelessness forever over the next four years. we will do this by stabilizing people's lives through our nationally recognize housing and service programs. and by building a system to prevent homelessness or any persons homelessness before becomes chronic. i will create a new department to keep homeless residents permanently -allow and help homeless reside

number of items but mainly this affordable housing bond that is a $1.5 billion investment that makes our city more affordable and building and rehabbing lower and middle income housing for our families is truly important on everybody 's agenda. it will also help us deliver on a commitment that i made to deliver at least 30,000 new homes by 2020 with over half of that available to middle and low income families and certainly will help us with the commitment and important work of fixing our public housing for our lower and middle income san francisco residents. when we talk about working faster, we need to talk about our private sector to help us build a more affordable housing especially on this economy and large project. today i have announced that we'll bring to the voters sometime next year a charter amendment that will require housing developers to build more affordable housing in new developments. we convene what i think you will agree with me it was a very -- housing working group with the trust fund passed with proposition c. i will direct this working group that includes not only that

our city council, our city attorney, our city manager, our communications director have all done exemplaryjobs of being on board making sure that the communication that we give to the community is accurate and as i said earlier we will not disclose any information other than that that is disclosed by the police department as it relates to the investigation that is going on. it is an active investigation and we will leave that effort up to our police department. at this time if there are any questions we will entertain a few questions. just like the vibrance of the city people. it is our committee that should be reflected in how we shape the building of the city. it is the building of the city that only represents us but also the diversity and the tourist that visit us. to keep it short, i bought a few points i respectfully would like you to consider when making a decision. number one, housing is overpriced. this budget winzip 25 million and affordable has. even the most educated are struggling with the increases in rent prices. housing in particular is important. to consider given the court housing market increase brought on by the growth of the tech industry the project things more retail and chance are small business opportunities in the city. new architecture, retail spaces and restaurants increases the attractiveness to potential taurus. it also brings $40 million in transit imprudence, which would benefit the whole surrounding neighborhood. as a son of an immigrant father the drove a muni bus for 30 years, to put three kids through school i so would've meant to

this is again our city, all off sales. bringing in the off sales factor 579 stores. now we are bringing in our restaurant licenses and this is the first set. the yellow dots are type 41s. those are the discussion points today. they allow sale of beer and wine and although they are on sale licenses they have inherent off sale privilege. i would come back to that. but in theory you can call all of those potentially off sale locations. meaning they can sell off sale, beer, wine, for all of those and then the solid green's with the plus to do distilled beers. the next slide, we are now bringing in our type 47 restaurants. these are restaurants that have on sale beer wine and distilled spirits. this license is also for supervisor christensen's benefit where they have clubs. they often have 47 where they can have people underage of 21. they also have beer and wine. that number represents 781 licenses. now the red dots are type 2s and they are just beer and wine. these are a lot of wine bars, adults only, 21 and over. those we have 64. the next overlay we are bringing in our
