and the our city, our home committee were able to reach alignment on many different strategies and investment using prop c funds for the city's outreach and emergency rehousing plans. these agree that there are many needs that need to be addressed through the use of reserves, which i just went through, agreements to fund phase one and phase two for the s.i.p. housing referral. our city our home voted on recommendations to fully fund phase one and phase two, and these costs are reflected in the controller's revised proposal. i do want to make note that even within this fiscal year, we would not have funding for exits in phase three, and i know that the rehousing commitments are incredibly important to the board and the city, so we will be back very quickly around phase three. we also agreed with the committee to move 150 of our original proposed 500 rapid rehousing slots into ongoing subsidies, and we agreed with and really welcomed the additional workforce resources. we know these resources will be essential to our success. we also welcome additional resources for non-s.i.p. clients for famil

next, a look at one of our city's tour visits. this museum has been in our community for almost 60 years, and it is an important part of the community because we highlight the local natural history, local cultural history, and even some of the local science education. we do a lot of partnerships with texas a&m university. we have exhibits that are here long-term and short-term. we do lots of children's education, and we even have some live animals. so i would like to show you a few things about our museum that we are so proud of. if you look over this direction, you will see a mural that we are incredibly proud of. it was done by a nationally recognized artist, painted on site. it has been here since about 1993, 1995, and it is the only place where you can see the brazos valley as it was 12,000 years ago and realize that some of the animals that are portrayed in the mural where the predecessors of our modern species. 12,000 years ago, we have lions, tigers, and bears in the brazos valley. that is something a lot of our visitors rea

our work force is hard to image. this is the reallity we have to confront. we are facing the gutting of a basic city service that our residents rely on and economy needs to recover. as importantly this means bus drivers, mechanics, and other workers losing their job and ability to provide for their family. san francisco is not alone here. cities a cross the country are facing the same crisis due to covid-19. just yesterday, washington d.c. announced their metro service would have to layoff workers and eliminate weekend service and close stations. federal cares act funding helped keep us stable through the first year. if we push for more funding transportation must be the top priority along with support for the small businesses suffering. a decimated transportation system will hobble our economic recovery. i hope the biden administration will work with speaker pelosi and congress to provide support. there are some steps we can take locally to increase mtas revenue and costs in strategickic ways and do what we can in the city. we have to consider every possible way. we are in deep trouble and need to
